“SOCIAL PROTECTION AND SAFETY NETS” (SPSN)

AWARDED TO SHER

Presently Society for Human Empowerment and Rural Development (SHER), has signed Grant Agreement with National Rural Support Programme – Small Grants and Ambassador’s Fund Program (NRSP-SGAFP) Grant Number: SGAFP/2017/AF/227 for the Project titled “Social Protection and Safety Nets.” (SPSN) project in two Tehsils of Districts Khushab and Mianwali. The overall aim of the project is to empower women by addressing violence affected women by providing sustainable business opportunities through formation of social enterprises. 

The organization envisages achieving the same through the following project objectives:

 

  1. To safeguard the rights of 500 violence affected women, through social protection by equitable access to justice based on laws and policies protecting their fundamental rights.
  2. To empower 160 vulnerable women by improving their socio-economic status through better livelihood opportunities.
  3. To create awareness on women rights among 2,000 women and girls from all UCs.

 

“USAID/Pakistan has, in cooperation with the USAID Office of Inspector General, established the Anti-Fraud Hotline to provide an avenue for the reporting of fraud, waste, and abuse which may be associated with USAID funded projects in Pakistan.
